AIM is currently the largest and most preferred community hospitalist practice group in Tucson for choice for employment, stability and career growth in hospital medicine.

In the time of medical need, we are here to help.
When I first stepped foot in TMC, one cool morning in December of 1993, for an interview for the residency program in Internal Medicine, little did I know that I would put down roots in Tucson or cofound a unique physician owned hospitalist company, “AIM Associates”. In 2002, having experienced the self-employment model as Primary Care Physician followed by the employment model as a Hospitalist, AIM was born out of a dream to have a practice that offered the best of both worlds: one that combined the flexibility and independence of a small business with the support and resources of a larger group, all with the ultimate goal of delivering exceptional patient care.
AIM's vision is centered on delivering the highest quality of patient care by creating a physician-friendly environment that promotes unity and collaboration among doctors. AIM was designed to navigate the rapid changes in the healthcare landscape by actively involving physicians in shaping its direction. This physician-driven approach ensures that decisions are grounded in the practical realities and needs of those delivering care. By empowering physicians, AIM fosters higher job satisfaction and most importantly, better outcomes for patients.
We take great pride in our partnership with TMC, a community-based hospital, as well as with other local businesses, all of which contribute to strengthening the local economy and community. Over the past 30 years, it has been incredible to witness the growth of Tucson and I am proud to call it home.
My journey began with a simple belief: physicians should have the autonomy to put patients first. After experiencing the constraints of corporate healthcare firsthand, I knew there had to be a better way to practice medicine – one that honored both the art of healing and the dignity of the healer.
What started with two physicians has grown into a community of seventy, united by shared values. Our foundation is straightforward: patients come first, followed by the wellbeing of our physicians and staff. As members of our local community, we understand that our role extends beyond providing care – we are neighbors committed to the collective health and wellbeing of our community.
This isn't a venture built for sale; it's a lasting commitment to ethical healthcare delivery. We've created an environment where physicians practice with integrity & autonomy, staff are valued as essential partners, and everyone contributes to our shared success. Our growth has proven that by prioritizing patient care, and the health and wellbeing of our physicians, staff and community, it’s a formula for success. It isn't just the right thing to do – it works!
This organization stands as a testament to what's possible in healthcare when it's patient-centered, physician-led, community-focused, and built to last."
